Some sights from Prestbury Hill yesterday. Freshly emerged 5 spot Burnett, Marsh Frittilaries, a sleepy Hornet and a beautifully spotted Small Blue. 𝙱𝙲 𝙶𝚕𝚘𝚞𝚌𝚎𝚜𝚝𝚎𝚛𝚜𝚑𝚒𝚛𝚎 @CleeveCommon

Extraordinary Lepidoptera day up in the Cotswolds with Daniel Webb. Duke of Burgundies, Marsh Fritillaries, Adonis Blues, Small Blues but most amazingly a mating pair of Narrow-bordered bee hawk moths! Does anyone know if this is an unusual record? 𝙱𝙲 𝙶𝚕𝚘𝚞𝚌𝚎𝚜𝚝𝚎𝚛𝚜𝚑𝚒𝚛𝚎 Butterfly Conservation 🦋

Spent the morning wandering around Daneway Banks, as always the diversity of wildflowers and grasses was fantastic; however I was struck by the lack of invertebrates compared to this time last year. Q. Are other members of this group noticing the same thing?
