This is a conundrum for Lakers: guard Jokic with Rui, and they double and give up a corner 3. They just put AD on him, and Davis fouls.

Jokic wasn’t squared up to Lebron, hence not in legal guarding position. Whether the amount of contact rose to the level of a foul is up for debate considering the amount of contact that has been let go so far.

I was wondering when we’d see the lob to Gordon off the ball screen from Jokic. Lakers have been guarding Jokic with Rui, leaving Lebron to rotate to roller and no one sunk down, but it wouldn’t have mattered anyway

This game is wild. Lebron jumps early on a possible close out, leaving his man a free cut to the rim, but makes it back and then some with the 40 footer when the Nuggets don’t pick him up early enough

Absolutely perfect start for the Lakers on the road. They couldn’t hope for a better scenario right now. Foul trouble by Aaron Gordon helped a lot, but I’d expect the Lakers unusual free throw attempt advantage to continue

Lebron James follows the ball with his eyes upon release, which is a trait most of the great shooters have. And this year, he was an elite shooter at 41%

The Embiid landing Doesn’t look that bad, but because he’s already been injured, it could be worse than appears

Anthony Edwards clearly saw people putting Donovan Mitchell in front of him on the best players list. This is an MVP performance right now

Anthony Edwards proves that it’s perfectly legal at all levels to lift your pivot foot in order to shoot the ball. No, he’s not switching his pivot foot, he just lifting it in order to jump. Step Through Joe

Coaches, if u teach rip thrus, please stress to your players: DO NOT PUT YOUR ELBOWS AT your defender’s FACE LEVEL. It’s an offensive foul often, but more importantly, it’s completely dangerous

The amount of times the Wolves force feed the ball to Rudy is astounding. So I don’t blame Rudy for this type of miss as much as the team’s focus for passing it to him by play design

the Cavs are reeling from a 9-2 run by the Magic, and out of a time out, they absolutely need a bucket. So, they run “25” to ball screen for Mitchell, who pulls a deep 3 with a defender chasing him closely. The goal should’ve been to get the ball into the paint before shooting
