Over the past two days, we had the opportunity to welcome our newest Marauders to the Bay Shore Schools family. I would like to wish all of our new teachers the best of luck as they begin their careers in Bay Shore.

One of the highlights of Superintendent’s Conference Day yesterday was Bay Shore HS student Miles Powell sharing his musical talents with our teachers and administrators.

What rain? Nothing could dampen spirits in the Bay Shore Schools today as we welcomed students back into our buildings.

Thank you Brinley Hineman and Newsday for including our BayShoreMS memorial in this piece. The memorial is an important part of helping ensure the memory of those lost on 9/11 lives on in our community and teaching students about a pivotal day in our history.

"One kind word can change someone's entire day." Thank you to everyone who shared words of inspiration on the BayShoreMS "graffiti" wall at last night's open house to help our students see how much the Bay Shore community supports them.

Congratulations to Fifth Avenue Elementary School student Keanu, who appears on the first issue of the Our Schools of the 2022-2023 school year. Bay Shore Schools residents should receive the newsletter in the next few days.

The Fifth Avenue Elementary School students did a great job creating floats for the STEAM Thanksgiving parade! It was great to see the students getting so excited about the projects they engineered.

Congratulations to Bay Shore HS student Emma, whose artwork was selected for this year’s Bay Shore Schools holiday card!

Thank you to the Bay Shore Schools BayShoreCulturalArts Harmonaires for sharing their gift of music this holiday season.

Today we celebrated Brook Avenue School students Connor and Andy, who were featured on the cover of the latest issue of the Our Schools.

Thank you Senator Alexis Weik for meeting with me today to talk about the Bay Shore Schools District and our opposition to charter schools.

Yesterday, our administrative team visited SUNY Suffolk to learn more about the training programs available to students interested in entering the trades. It was a great opportunity to see another option that is available to Bay Shore’s students when they graduate.

Members of the Bay Shore Schools team spent the morning today learning more about telling our story and advocating on behalf of the District.

It was great to be able to deliver the latest issue of the Our Schools to the Mary G. Clarkson School students who are on the cover. Keep an eye out for it in your mailbox as we celebrate the Bay Shore family.
