Please be there for your neighbours, if you know of someone returning from travelling offer to help, get some groceries for them, ensure they have what they need at home #WeAreAllInThisTogether #COVID19

In these times of uncertainty, and with limited PPE available for first responders we would like to send out a heartfelt thank you to Doug Vanderhaar for his generous donation of N95 masks to the Bayfield fire department. #WeAreInThisTogether

As a result of COVID-19 and the need for proper social distancing, the Stratford Fire Department has not been able to conduct some of its regular community outreach and education. But we can offer a virtual tour. Check it out at youtu.be/oOvMT2eNuZU

Just going to put this here. Missed the trucks for today’s alarm call because not a single vehicle in either direction managed to pull over. It’s not the law but it’s courtesy, hopefully it isn’t your house or loved one that needs our help! #firefighters #greenlight

WARNING: Bayfield Fire is responding to multiple reports of trees and hydro line down, please remain at home while fire, hydro, and municipal crews work to clean up.

ATTENTION: After the significant rain fall this past week end, the Huron County Fire Chiefs have lifted the burn ban. You are now free to continue enjoying the summer with back yard fires. Note: there is still an open air burning bylaw that must be followed.

Excellent demonstration by @UL_FSRI showing how quickly fire spreads. Seconds count! Do you have working smoke alarms, what about a home escape plan? #FirePreventionWeek #ldnont

First grass fire of the spring! Residents please remember you need a burn permit from the municipality to burn any brush pile that doesn’t fit in a 2ft x 2ft fire pit, and please keep a way to extinguish any fire on hand should it get out of control!

With the long week end coming and the roads getting busy, please remember that a vehicle with a green light flashing is a volunteer firefighter responding to an emergency. Please give way to them so they can mitigate the incident quickly. #volunteerfirefighter
