River Line had burst its banks at Whatlington, East Sussex on Sunday, seen at 13:00hrs - fields both sides of the road were flooded. My weather station measured 41.7mm of rain in the 24hrs on Sunday Nov-27!

At 12:00: lingering mist from a foggy start today and temperature only 0.3ºC, in Battle, East Sussex. Second cold day below average for mid December...

Had to abandon my car, parked curbside on an urban road in Battle Town at 16:15, due to snow stopping vehicles climbing a very small slope between the at-grade rail crossing and the mini-roundabout. Past which an accident had caused all traffic in both directions to halt.

At 07:00Z on 2022-12-19 it was exactly 10ºC higher than 24 hours before when it was 0.3ºC And due to overnight rain onto the frozen snow it has has been washed away. (Now I can go to collect my car and get it back up the hill to our driveway - after 7 days!)

Contrasts: Yesterday at 07:00 **41.7mm** of rain in last 24hrs! (My local record in any 24hrs...) Today at 07:00 clearish sky, dry and -4.5ºC

Overnight first frost of the year in the TN33 area, around 0.4°C at 08:00Z... already under totally blue sky - no clouds - 1.2°C at 09:45.

Now snowing quite heavily in TN33 0LD and settling. Outside temp = 1.1°C Wind speed = 0, but last from the NNE, so flakes (small) falling vertically

As forecast, it started snowing (lightly) at about 14:50 in TN33 0LD. Not settling at 15:00.... Interesting how weather vane indicates a very slight air movement from the NNE, yet cloud was forecast as coming from the S. Overall, all morning, very little observable wind speed.
