Batik is an amazing process. Each piece begins white. Metal, hand-crafted blocks are dipped in hot-wax and stamped across the fabric to create a wax-resist. Dye is hand-painted on top. Fabric is then processed, boiled to remove the wax, and hung to dry. #wearableart #batik
