Went to a cocktail club for bday weekend out. Ordered a gin sour also with St. Germaine, yuzu and cucumber juice called “The Egg”. It was delicious, did not expect the cup presentation however. Who could.

Frozen food section and dry goods section of an Asian market is absolutely the best food shopping on earth.

I really don’t get the need of possibly getting an extra day off work that makes people want to do more work at home.

Made an absolute 5 layer lasagna beast last night.

Ate a shitload of local seafood while sitting on the beach, then tacos and frozen margaritas next to the sea, got some monkfish to marinate and grill tomorrow, and a new sweatshirt with a big crab on the front today. Essentially ideal day out. I’m living my best 5 yr old life.

To continue my load of seafood and frozen Daiquiri I grilled monkfish shish kebabs last night and made frozen pina coladas. Making this the August of Bates. An August of going to bed entirely too full and slightly drunk on daiquiris.

Not too fancy, but if you know what you’re doing ya know that’s gonna be good.

Just having to drink this one down we canned today for Oktoberfest, while staying late transferring a Foeder bier de miel. Alright job if you can get it I reckon.

Big ol’ pot of Hoppin’ John tonight best as I could make it in the UK, this after I shredded the smoked pork hock that’s been cooking all day . No cornbread sadly as I couldn’t find any good cornmeal. Bout to put this on some rice with some hot sauce and hope fortune finds me.
