Ludovico Lami presented his solution to the generalized Stein's lemma (arXiv:2408.06410) today at felixleditzky.info/bqm/. This comes shortly after Hayashi & Hayata Yamasaki's proof (arXiv:2408.02722). Thanks to @felix_led and Mark M. Wilde for organizing!
Good news! Authors who use Overleaf can now use Phys. Rev. templates for writing and submitting their manuscripts. Just search for “Physical Review” under Templates. When you're ready to submit, click on “Submit to APS” on the top of the page. Physical Review A
Fresh off the press in Nature Communications: our work on computing distillable entanglement by connecting it with hypothesis testing with restricted measurements. nature.com/articles/s4146… Joint work with Ludovico Lami, spiritually assisted by Marco Piani 🇮🇹🇨🇦.
The 2025 International Symposium on Information Theory will be held at University of Michigan during June 2025: 2025.ieee-isit.org/home This is a historical opportunity to see Peter Shor deliver the esteemed Shannon lecture & to see the statue of Shannon outside the University of Michigan ECE building
New paper with Ludovico Lami and Nilanjana Datta: we show some cool (in)equalities between fundamental quantities in one-shot quantum info, improving a bunch of epsilons in some useful bounds. arxiv.org/abs/2501.12447 Dedicated to the love of my life, the max-relative entropy.
Our third short plenary is a merged talk about a solution for the generalized quantum Stein’s lemma, and asymptotic quantification of entanglement with a single copy. Overview below! Ludovico Lami QuSoft Scuola Normale Mario Berta Bartosz Regula
Happy Pi Day everyone! We are finally posting more photos from the conference! Day 4 (Feb 25) began with a dual feature on the generalized quantum Stein's lemma: Masahito Hayashi from The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shenzen and Ludovico Lami from Scuola Normale !
