š„ join Christoph Schmidt-Hieber and me for this symposium on spatial representations in the #hippocampus on Monday afternoon at the #FENS2022 meeting. it's going to be š„³š

Couldn't have asked for a better #FENS2022 experience! I was especially lucky to engage with so many inspiring female neuroscientists Julijana Gjorgjieva Kanaka Rajan ClopathLab Marlene Bartos Yiota Poirazi and many others, who are paving the way for the future generationš

Are you passionate about inhibitory neurons? Donāt miss the next Gordon Conference on "Inhibition in the Central Nervous System" in Les Diablerets, Switzerland in July 2023, co-chairs Marlene Bartos and Beatriz Rico and vice-chairs Gord Fishell and Attila Losonczy 1/4

Great visit to Freiburg to talk engrams and memory with ā¦Marlene Bartosā©, Monika Schonauer, Claudio Elgueta and colleagues!

Interestingly, excitatory-PV interneuron connectivity rates and unitary synaptic strength were unaltered by CP-AMPAR removal, suggesting that the selectivity of PV interneurons can be altered without drastically changing connectivity. Kudos to Juhyun Kim and Solange Brown!

Remarkably, hippocampal PV neurons, which usually exhibit low spatial tuning, became more spatially selective after removing CP-AMPARs, indicating that CP-AMPARs suppress the feature selectivity of neurons beyond vision. Thomas Hainmueller and Marlene Bartos don't mess around.

Indexing, Representational Drift, Time keeping mechanisms, memory landmarks, and inhibitory neurons.. Fun evening with ā¦Marlene Bartosā© ā¦Jordan Farrellā©
