Seems like the suspected #Ebola outbreak in DRC is not Ebola. Thank the heavens. 11 suspected cases have tested negative for Eboba, Marburg, CCHF, Lassa & yellow fever. 8 tested positive for malaria and one for dengue, per a World Health Organization (WHO) contact.
Nice paper on the modular nature of bat sarbecoviruses in horseshoe bat species - many more viruses discovered in Vietnam (and elsewhere in SE Asia). One bat was infected by 4 distinct CoVs. Gabor Kemenesi onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1111/me…
