Today we attended the Barnsley Council Targeted Youth Support International Women’s Day event at Barnsley Metrodome. We really enjoyed this event for #InternationalWomensDay, and it's great to work with the council on the #JoiningForces initiative.

We're proud to launch our latest campaign, aimed at preventing and tackling the exploitation of children. It encourages people to look past any misconceptions they have around a ‘typical’ victim or offender and identify the warning signs that a child is in danger. 🧵 1/3

Around 1am this morning, officers were called to an activated intruder alarm at a premises on Cheapside, town centre. On arrival, officers found 4 males inside the building. All 4 have been arrested on suspicion of burglary & remain in custody while the investigation continues.

❌ GAME OFF ❌ This afternoon's game at The Lamex Stadium vs Barnsley has been postponed by the referee due to a frozen pitch. ❄️

On 9th March 2024, a 15 year old male was arrested on suspicion of burglary at a premises within Barnsley Town Centre, and a theft from shop. He has since been charged with the offences and has been remanded to appear at Barnsley Magistrates' Court tomorrow.
