Ethiopia is selling arms to Somalia’s regional governments and other militias to scuttle and undermine the arms embargo lifted from Somalia this year. After they supply arms, they want to argue Somalia is not able to control arms smuggling. That's the whole intention of Abiy.

The U.S. brought a proposal to reform the UNSC by giving Africa 2 permanent seats without a VETO power. That means France, U.K., U.S., China, and Russia will be the only 5 permanent members with veto power when it comes to the decision point. This is an insult at best.
