Hey MAGA. You laugh because you think you're safe from all of this racism, and death, and destruction. But you're wrong. Trump will come for you too. It's both predictable and inevitable. Know how I know? Because I currently live in Normandy, not far from the D-Day beaches. 1/x

The next time someone in a meeting tells me to do something like this I am going to announce that my writing is my singular, unique power of creation I wield to fight time and death by ascribing my will directly into the universe in a visible form that AI cannot replicate.

Just saw a 60 Minutes interview with John Oliver discussing his love of stand-up that arises out of the idea that you're one gig away from bombing, and that failure on stage is good for you. I feel the same way about teaching. Cannot wait for Monday when classes begin.

Gene is a real one. Also for those asking how we did it: this game cost $70 in 1989 money and was probably one of two games you got in a year.

I really like that even as Annie’s star continues to rise and she becomes a national name rather than a state one you can tell which local team has her support lol — #gogreen

I bring up this specific point to my live-streaming students every term (without specifically referencing spaceghost’s body, I note :p) — women are not “stealing viewers” from anyone. If I want a book, I don’t complain about movie theaters. That’s what these dudes sound like.

Gene knows this already but the PSX graphics were a reasonable upgrade from the PC to the point where I'm shocked Blizzard never released a PC version with all the reflections enabled. Really great stuff here.

Ivalice is the world we’ve seen the most of, and if we don’t count Eorzea, it’s the only one I’m excited to see even more of. The others — Spira, Gaia, etc. exist to tell a single story. Ivalice always feels like we get one glimpse into a much larger history we’ll never know.

After an incredible 37 year career, on October 1st, Dan Forden (1/4 of the original Mortal Kombat team) began his well earned retirement. I cannot overstate the impact Dan has made on pinball, videogames, NetherRealm & especially Mortal Kombat. A significant part of the first

It’s hard to believe, but Itagaki-san…my senior from university and my rival as a creator has passed away. The last message I ever received from him was, “Let’s go drinking. Let’s make some noise soon!” To think that he’s gone at just 58 years old… Yes, everyone dies

YES what a news item to start my day — Carlos is so kind and engaging and he deserves every success for all the hrs work he’s been putting in. I was in a demo derby room last year to hear the panel react to him with “dang okay this is great!” and it’s good to see that rewarded.

I’d like to share that I’ll be leaving Bandai Namco at the end of 2025. With the TEKKEN series reaching its 30th anniversary—an important milestone for a project I’ve devoted much of my life to—I felt this was the most fitting moment to bring one chapter to a close. My roots lie
