#WindTurbines are very noisy. We tend to build noisy infrastructure away from us, but that means that others will suffer. New paper by Yael Lehnardt shows that birds are strongly impacted by wind turbine noise. conbio.onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/abs/10.111… In collaboration with the amazing Jesse Barber

Twelve Mozambican students will study conservation biology in #Gorongosa Park this coming year. It’s the only master’s program taught inside a national park. Full scholarships (except for a registration fee) are financed by the Howard Hughes Medical Institute. #Africa #Mozambique

Never thought I'd see the day when Wildlife Crossings was formally proposed as a LEGO kit. Then again I haven't touched a LEGO since 1992. bit.ly/VoteWAWCLEGOID… Plz RT to help them get votes, esp. if you are Ben Goldfarb who wrote a wildly popular new book abt road ecology

Do you know what Global South Bats is? They are a group of people aiming to connect and empower bat conservation allies in the GlobalSouth where locally--led research and conservation are most needed. We spent 2 weeks in Costa Rica planning the upcoming activities for the next 5y

Why is this Luna Moth laying eggs on a blade of grass? It's stuck under a streetlight on the pavement in the middle of the street. #Light_pollution
