Inspiring solidarity at Venice Film Festival! Over 700 filmmakers condemned the inclusion of two Israeli films whose production companies are involved in whitewashing Israel’s genocide and apartheid against Palestinians. Many others held up banners and Palestine flags. 🇵🇸

In a letter published by Artists for Palestine Italia, the Art Not Genocide Alliance and Film Workers for Palestine, the filmmakers and other artists said the festival “has remained silent about Israel’s atrocities against the Palestinian people. This silence outrages us deeply.”

後から配信で全回聴き終わりました。最終回で女性学会の〈継承〉シンポが取り上げられていたのがありがたかったです。Holly Lawford-Smithの「ジェンダー・クリティカル」が登壇者の方の考える系譜にあることを踏まえるとかなり大きな「右傾化」の流れに日本のフェミニズムもあるのだと思いました。
