Last night in #Brussels with Gary Marshall and birthday boy Thom Hetherington . What a splendid day out and now off to lunch at Villa Lorraine thanks to a review by Andy Hayler Should be a another good day. In the last one they are praying to the Beer Gods.

Some amazing food at Engine Social Dining Mark made up a beautiful raw scallop dish, then belly pork, scallop, boudin noir, apple and mustard sauces, crispy potatoes with Époisses and Taleggio and pickles.Bloody divine. We need a rematch Thom Hetherington Gary Marshall adrian hopwood

It’s been a while but I’m very much looking forward to venturing back to ShibdenMill for Will Webster’s excellent food tomorrow. A boy’s lunch celebrating Mark’s birthday from yesterday so it should be a lot of fun as ever. See you then.

Excellent food as ever and sublime service from Oliver and team yesterday ShibdenMill. Will Webster had even taken the cheese out before we arrived and requested him to do so that it was perfect. Obviously, we are creatures of habit. Thanks to all, it was a superb meal.

A recent Boy’s Christmas lunch Engine Social Dining; we were picked up in style. They were like gannets so I didn’t get to photograph all the new dishes which are superb. I had to go back. Indonesian monkfish curry, Sui Mai + the best prawn toast of my life. If you haven’t - then Go!
