During Road Safety Week 2022 the children showed a positive understanding of how to keep themselves and others safe whilst walking, cycling and scooting to and from the ELC. We concluded Road Safety Week with a visit from our local lollipop lady. Breathing Globe Road Safety Scotland

The children have been introduced to the experience of working with wood and real tools. We learned the names of the tools and what each done and how we used them. We made some rules. The children were confident in their actions, showed amazing concentration and imagination.

We celebrated World Book Day today with the tiger from The Tiger who came to Tea. Dressed in our pj's and with our favourite cuddly toy. We read our favourite books, wrote our own stories, made clay stick men and watched the video.#WorldBookDay2023

It was a special day today in the ELC as we had invited all our mummies to join us for an early Mother's Day Tea. The children shared lots of activities with their mummies and helped to serve them some yummy sandwiches and cakes. Our mummies had tea in their special mug.❤

We had an unexpected visiting couple in the ELC garden today, the children were excited to learn about them. The children found a safe space for them in a tyre until we released them near Delph Pond. Mr and Mrs Toad cosied up under a little mound of grass to stay safe. #spring

Today we were "Letter Detectives". We picked a letter and tried to find as many of the same in some print then we marked them off. There was lots of "I've found another one and another". Lots of working together to help their peers in their letter detection. #literacylearning

On Wednesday the children had a visit from the Easter Bunny. He brought an Easter egg for each child and lots of fun and laughter.

This morning we had the pleasure in joining the ladies and gents at tullibody's Singing for Memories event. An amazing experience. #CommunityEngagement

Stay and Play this afternoon was based around the Kings Coronation! 👑 It was fantastic to see so many of you there sharing cakes, snacks and activities with your children. #parentalengagement

Today is the start of Walk to School Week. Here's what some children found on their walk to the ELC today. Looking forward to tomorrow's challenge.

What a lovely week we have had for #WalkToSchoolWeek. Walking, Scooting or cycling makes such a good start to the day. Here are some things our families have found on the walk to School. Breathing Globe Living Streets

The children have been very interested in insects. We used the magnified viewing pots to investigate our bugs more closely, "Ooh its all hairy. It's like a shield. They're strong" and we set up a wormery for the children to observe the worms behaviour over the coming week.🐛🦋

We had a lovely visit from Louise the Animal Lady. We all had the opportunity to hold or touch some of these animals and she gave us lots of fun facts and information about them.🐹🐔🐍🦎🦗. Some of us were very brave.

On Thursday we welcomed our dads and grandads for our Fathers Day Fire Pit and Fun. We toasted marshmallows and had pancakes, made plasticine models, played in the garden and read some stories. #parentalengagement

Today we welcomed back our preschool learners into our B.E.E Hive. It was amazing to see lots of busy learners throughout the day. We are looking forward to the year a head, working with children and families. ELCClacks #back_to_school
