Shouldn’t take UEFA official to make case for football funding. Kosovo FA announced a €200m investment last week. We’ll never qualify for another men’s World Cup unless political system wakes up to funding that’s needed. Meanwhile Horse & Greyhound fund gets €100m a year.

This, unfortunately, is the harsh reality of the situation. The impacts of Brexit have yet to reach our Senior International teams, and when they do, they will hit hard. Time is not on our side.

I'm in Lebowski Bar Reykjavik Reykjavik watching Holland v England. Get talking to a local girl, she tells me "your new manager is my dentist". She has great teeth, I'm sold.

Over 18,000 saw Ireland women thump France 3-1 in Cork last night. Shamrock Rovers FC made it through to the next phase of the Champions League. Dalymount completely sold out for FAI Cup game this Friday. Imagine what could be achieved if we invested in academies & facilities.

UEFA club competition football has kicked off on free to air Irish broadcast TV tonight with the, in effect, friendly UEFA Super Cup. Meanwhile, an Irish club has 90 minutes to guarantee group stage UEFA club competition tomorrow, which won't be broadcast.

We can confirm that both legs of our UEFA Europa League Play-Off will be streamed live on LOITV. The club exhausted every avenue across the four rounds of European matches to deliver matches on a free to air National broadcaster, but to no avail. Full statement 👇

Taoiseach, Tánaiste & host of Ministers at today’s game. Ireland’s first home loss to England in 60 yrs. We’d better get used to it if funding doesn’t change. Outside of San Marino & Liechtenstein, no side has fallen more in FIFA rankings in the last 20 yrs than Ireland.

Adam Foley is in the right place to level the FAI Cup semi-final. The Drogheda United striker makes it 1-1 midway through the half 📺 Watch: rte.ie/player/onnow/6… 📱 Read: rte.ie/sport/soccer/2…

Club fixtures secretary’s = priceless. Rarely thanked, never look for any credit but the game doesn’t function without them. 👏👏.
