Happy to attend and present 🦇s at ICCON 2025. Wonderful ambience Wildlife Institute of India with deep insights on Wildlife conservation in India. If you want to know about how "Bats handle the noisy world" visit the Auditorium by noon tomorrow! #ICCON2025 #WII #Conservation 🦇🇮🇳

Baheerathan Murugavel presented his research on the acoustic parameters of anthropogenic noise and how it acts as a sensory barriers for bats. The study shares insights about species specific as well as community level consequences due to intense noise. IISER Mohali #ICCON2025

Baheerathan from Behavioural Ecology Lab (BEL @ IISER Mohali) spoke about his metanalysis on the impact of anthropogenic noise on bats ICCON 2025 Wildlife Institute of India.

Two years Behavioural Ecology Lab (BEL @ IISER Mohali) and countless number of memories and learnings. Thanks to all who made this a memorable experience. Bid adieu Mohali! #BatLove #BirdLove

In midst of the ongoing push for electric vehicles, we Baheerathan M & Dr. Oliver Lindecke reviewed the effect of noise on bats & if EV is quieter & better for animals? 🦇🦗 Surprise 😬 There is sound of silence! Our work is out on bioRxiv today. biorxiv.org/cgi/content/sh…

Electric vehicles (EVs) are quiet alternates decarbonising transport but are EVs quiet for wildlife? With🦇s as a model,we Dr. Oliver Lindecke Manjari Jain review the impacts of noise acoustics & explore its implications for a future dominated by EVs 👇🔌🚗📢🏙️🦇 biorxiv.org/content/10.110…
