I'm saddened by how much of social media now is just hateful memes reposted to thoughtless applause. I know this isn't new, but I've seen it from many people who's nuanced and thought out opinions on things I once respected. No one is willing to discuss anymore.

In my experience, what people call "weaponised incompetence" is not usually that. It's usually one person cannot fathom that a task might have more than one solution, and that their solution isn't inherently the best one just because they prefer it. It's just demanding obedience.

Something that's been bothering me lately is people saying "our military" or "our government" when referring to that of their countries. I think I dislike it because it gives general people the false impression that they have any sort of control or influence over those things.
