Back in the early 2000's I grew up with a lot of internet safety awareness initiatives: from tv ads aimed at kids, policemen giving lectures at school, kids festivals with fun games about what NOT to do on the internet, and it was very effective as it was stomped in my head (1/2)
to never mention my real name not anything private. Kids around me scolded me whenever they found out I shared anything alike. Noways I'm really baffled to not see any of these safety initiatives and with the rise of social media there's an epidemic of kids being unaware of (2/3)
the very basics of internet safety and ending up in very dumb situations. Plenty of people blame parents for not monitoring their kids however in my age no kid was ever monitored. The government campaigns I grew up with were very good. Wish these initiatives were back but I never
