Final stage of Al-Nuri #Mosque reconstruction in #Mosul . It was destroyed along with it’s distinctive minaret in the battle of Mosul in 2017. The mosque was built in the late 12th century.
Qobahan is one of the oldest schools in Kurdistan. The school was built by the king of Bahdinan Dynasty, (Sultan Hussein Wali). Scholars have been teaching Quran, Shari’a, mathematics, medicine, philosophy, astronomy and engineering for hundreds of years in Qobahan.
