Weather balloons provide a snapshot of the atmosphere. Precipitable water (PW) shows how much water is in a calculated column above our location. This morning Phoenix PW 1.54" is sitting right next to the max median for Sep 4 (1.56"). It's a wet atmosphere today! #azwx

For Arizona, we're thrilled that Sep-Nov looks to be the 9th wettest Fall on record statewide. 🥳 AZ had a really dry start to 2025, and Jan-Aug was the 3rd driest on record. Even with a wet Sep-Nov, 2025 is still landing in drier years (lowest 33% to date). #azwx
