So McDavid sees signing Bouchard as a “deal that needs to get done” for the team’s future. Does that sound like talk from a guy that’s not going to re-sign? Hoping for 4-5 year extension for 97 to keep the cap number decent with an opportunity to sign for more as the cap rises.

Elks logo removed from the stadium wall. No Elks logo on the field. Uniforms are back to traditional colors & no ELKS anywhere. Spike the Elks mascot is gone. Nanuk the old mascot is back. The old fire truck is back with “Edmonton Eskimos” on the side. They’re “ELKS” in name only

The only thing that looks the same is that the #Elks defence is getting torn apart by the #Alouettes & the offence is not much better. Special teams have been ok. 24-6 with 2mins left in the first half. Need to get some wins to bring people to the stadium.

I would say that it’s pretty clear that the #Elks name is on the way out and there is a pretty good chance that the #Eskimos name is returning to the club. Probably next season. All signs point to that.
