Here is how the end of #WCBS880 looked like. After Wayne's final legal ID, there was 16 seconds of dead air, followed by SportsCenter joined in progress. (#WHSQ TOH only on 880 AM). I've been replaying the final 15 minutes on repeat. A truly sad day in the radio world. #WCBS

🌡️🥵⚠️ HOTTEST DAY OF 2024? The forecast high is 95° in #NYC, 96° in #Newark, and with the humidity it will feel like 95 to 105° across the Tri-State. Severe storms possible late that will make the temperatures tumble right back to fall! Mother Nature, please decide!

WOAH. Hello “TJ 98.7” and plenty of questions still left to be answered by Tuesday morning. 📻 The most-exciting stunt in #NYC #radio since 94.7’s Wheel of Formats in 2013.

Look out for the crepuscular rays! 🌤️📸 The vibrant contrast of the bright sun poking through the dark clouds making the sky look super cool this evening. Do you see it where you are in #NYC?

This is what I meant by POOR VISIBILITY on the roads. 🚗🌧️⚠️ Can’t see more than a few car-lengths ahead of you in the heaviest of rain. Use extra caution for the next few min!

That was a great first episode of #WheelOfFortune with Ryan Seacrest! Some really nice new graphics and of course the set, all while keeping the charm that Pat & Vanna have built through the years.

TDR composite from this evening’s recon mission shows hurricane force winds now mostly axisymmetric, indicating Francine has begun to more substantially reintensify again. To be seen if it can reach category 2 intensity before landfall, especially as wind shear increases.

👀Francine is making landfall this evening in Louisiana as a Cat 2 hurricane. Winds are up to 100 mph. Will any of this impact our local weather? ➡️connecticut.news12.com/weather News12CT #hurricanefrancine

With great DXing conditions last night, it was nice hearing Smooth Jazz on my radio again, JJZ Philly from Philly. 🎷 Maybe iHeartMedia iHeartRadio can add smooth jazz on an HD subchannel here in NYC (Audacy removed it last year).

The FM dial is ALIVE! 📻 Thanks to high pressure & strong inversion, radio signals 300+ miles away from the News 12 New York Bronx studios are crystal clear. 🔊 WYFI is from Norfolk VA, WOWZ and WQHQ are from Ocean City MD area. If you have a radio, let me know what you’re hearing!

#HELENE ON THE WAY? 🌀⚠️ We now have #PTC8 which will likely become Tropical (or Subtropical) Storm Helene soon. It will make landfall and move inland quickly. Some of its moisture reaches #NYC midweek. Stick with us for hyperlocal updates.
