A lot of social service failings arise from a lack of funding and staff. With no plan in sight, this will continue.

If local government was properly funded, we would have robust social services and be able to avoid tragic cases like this.

For the last twenty years, we have seen budgets slashed and millions cut, in favour of vanity and poor decision making.
