Just published - a labour of love but the Civil War in Somerset is a fascinating subject. This books opens up new research into a very controversial period in English history.

I recently found this really cool Christmas Card in some papers I am cataloguing. It dates from 1946 and belonged to a Royal Navy officer who served with a hydrographic surveying unit in the Far East. The ship, HMS White Bear, was a floating chart printing factory.
