The SNP is holding back Scotland from the full advantage of new nuclear projects. Jobs, apprenticeships, supply chain investment, SMEs - all losing out because of their playground politics. In May, a change of Scottish Government can reverse that.

The OBR says that the VAT charge on private schools has raised more money than expected because fewer pupils have gone into the state sector It expected a 6% fall in private school pupil numbers, equivalent to 35,000 pupils, in fact it's closer to 35,000

I’ve have always opposed the pernicious 2 child limit and have worked persistently in my role with UK Labour colleagues to reach this point It must be an abiding mission to lift children out of poverty - it is a challenge Labour Governments rise to A hugely important step

Reminder: the SNP always had the power to eliminate the 2-child cap in Scotland, and did nothing for 8 years. Labour has abolished it within 18 months of coming into government.

Bravura performance by Reeves, looking every inch the Labour chancellor. Unmistakably Labour in who she targets and who she protects. A budget that will bring down the cost of living and reduce inflation. And a milestone decision on the two-child cap that will end perhaps the

I understand Labour abolishing the two child cap will: - help 27,000 households in Scotland - benefit 95,000 poorer kids - take around 20,000 children out of poverty. In other words, a major boost for families on the lowest incomes.

Ending the two child benefit cap will take 20,000 Scots kids out of poverty. But the SNP’s main complaint about the Budget is multi-national oil companies havn’t received tax cuts.

Most important here, if Angela Constance concedes she had considered what form of words would be needed for a correction, then she accepts the principle that it does need corrected. It’s still not been done because the SNP have contempt for the truth and voters.
