Although my academic background has revolved primarily around alcohol, I’ve learned lots about other substances since joining CGL, namely opioids and cocaine. Of course, it isn’t unusual for service users to present with a dependence on a combination of alcohol and other drugs.

Today marks the start of South Asian Heritage Month & we want to acknowledge the health inequalities & stigma the South Asian community can face when accessing healthcare & we’re trying to change this within our service Our service is a judgement free zone & here to support you💜

I’m fairly certain this won’t be going in the Louvre anytime soon, but I had a great time connecting with service users in an art and wellbeing group. It’s clear how much groups like this are enjoyed by all. The first time I’ve painted art in many years!
