Good morning Apple Valley residents. With this storm producing potential flooding and dangerous conditions we want to urge residents to stay home and stay safe. We will continue to provide updates as they become available to us.

#AVFPD units this morning had a residential structure fire located at 21621 Sandia Road. Heavy smoke and fire showing. All occupants got out safely. Fire is under investigation.

#AVFPD units are on scene of a traffic accident on Highway 18 and Milpas. Avoid the area. The road will be closed for approximately 4 hours due to a fatal accident.

#AVFPD units are on scene of a fatal traffic accident on Bear Valley and Kiowa. Roadway will be closed for 4-5 hours for the investigation.

#AVFPD POLE FIRE UPDATE: *All Evacuation orders have been lifted. As of late last night SCE had restored power. Fire is still under investigation. Crews will be working in the area over the next few days mopping up. Smoke may be visible throughout the area.

#AVFPD units are on scene of a major traffic accident on Highway 18 and Quinnault Road. Westbound will be closed for several hours due to a fatality.
