I'm a 38 year old ER doctor sitting at my kitchen table after a long day at work. I saw 50 patients today (seriously!) The dog is snoring on the couch. The wife is definitely NOT snoring. The cat plots. I'm toiling away at articles and research. ...and I'm just struck by how

A lot of fear in the market right now. I took a look at my taxable investments (mainly VTI/VUG). I'm still up at least 20% on my highest buy lots. We have a long way to go before I can start tax loss harvesting. I just transferred $16k into my 401k account. Just keep buying.

I gave up my night shift last night, cost me >$3,000 in income. Had a great night off and day with my wife and son. Worth every penny. Been grinding my whole life. Finally starting to feel like I’m in a place I can take my foot off the gas.

Two overdoses. Same house. Narcan given. One woke up. One didn’t. One looked at me and said we thought it was cocaine. It was fentanyl. One went home. The other…an organ donor. This is America 2025. It’s still happening.

I find the doctor house thing fascinating. I have so many colleagues just dumping stupid money into their houses, taking out huge mortgages or remodels. Money they will never get back. I'm guilty as I have a sweet house on the water but I'm still rocking that sub 4% rate

My current yearly investing goal of $300k almost complete, wife needs to stop slacking and max out her 457 already. Huge advantage of being 1099/s-corp allows me to front load my investments instead of lending it to uncle sam early. *sold off $83k of $PLTR for student loan
