A broken system. A system that allowed my daughter to die whilst being detained under the mental health act. Our voices were unheard for years which ultimately led to her death. She could and should be alive right now, at home with me where she belongs.

This! I just don’t get it. In this day and age how the hell is this happening! In any day and age. Trying to find a secondary school for my very bright, intelligent, autistic 10 year old has been impossible. Mainstream is the only option that will meet his academic needs.

3 years ago I was told by a psychiatrist that by fighting for my child to not be moved to an out of area PICU was like refusing cancer treatment for someone with cancer. My daughter was died in a PICU in February. Why didn’t they listen to me 😭#mentalhealth #autism
