Austin police officers arrested a deaf, elderly woman at ABIA for trespassing, but she just misunderstood instructions from a ticket clerk. Because she’s elderly and deaf. She spent 3 nights in the Travis County Jail, where a jailer broke her arm. She wasn’t taken to the ER.

last night we saw 4 cops violently tackle someone for being drunk and then take a bunch of pictures of scuff marks on their pants & shoes so they could charge him w assault. then went about 90 mph on a small neighborhood street after he was already in the car and almost hit me

they also brought SEVEN cop cars to arrest this one drunk person. this is an everyday sight for APD. no wonder they feel like accountability is “anti-police”, since they’re scared they can no longer cry about being defunded when they haven’t been and use violence with impunity

Earlier today, trans youth protested the passage of S.B. 14 by dropping a banner that read “DEFEND TRANS KIDS” They then got criminal trespass warnings & have been banned from the Texas Capitol for a year. They can’t stop trans youth from fighting for their rights! Solidarity✊🏼
