South Australian Greyhound Trainer Wade HIPWELL in August last year raced a dog on the drug ICE. Pleading guilty he was suspended for a paltry 2 years reduced to 18 months for the guilty plea. In July on Appel his suspension was reduced to 13 months 11 days, no justice here!

VICTORIA: Greyhound Racing Victoria will trial dropping their regular Sunday afternoon race meeting thus reducing the total number of meetings by one a week, in an attempt to stop falling field sizes and declining wagering turnover.

Greyhound Racing Victoria is investigating allegations Trainer Ivan CHIRCOP tortured 2 greyhounds to death via starvation. A further 3 greyhounds were discovered by investigators and put down suffering "extreme neglect". Others found staving and sick were seized by authorities.

QUEENSLAND: Trainer Steven SWIFT for 2 months failed to provide 'enough food to a dog named 'Sirius Bill' causing malnutrition.' The greyhound then had four teeth removed without 'appropriate treatment after the extraction causing substantial pain.' Penalty: 3 months suspension.
