Reposting for Marx's birthday.

'One of the difficulties in reading Marx today consists not so much in assessing the validity or the contemporaneity of his critique of political economy, as in reversing the very method of reading.'

This was my first time reading the Leibniz, and Clarke correspondence, and it was truly amazing and exciting to read. Because Leibniz was involved in so many writing projects at one time, his finest writing occurs in his series of letters to his interlocuters.

'All philosophy, can never be confirmed by 'facts,' ie, by beings. Making itself intelligible is suicide for philosophy. Those who idolize 'facts' never notice that their idols only shine in a borrowed light.'

-- Martin Heidegger, Contributions to Philosophy, 1936.

Throughout his life, Friedrich Nietzsche maintained a profound contempt for socialism. According to him, its advocates — and all other defenders of egalitarianism — had a single aim: leveling differences and suppressing individual genius. jacobin.com/2024/05/nietzs…

For Me, it's terrible to admit that I have never read Husserl's Logical Investigations. However, I have read Husserl's Cartesian Meditations, Ideas and the Crisis in The European Sciences. But I have never had the opportunity to read Husserl's Logical Investigations.
