Thanks to Larry Marnett Vanderbilt School of Medicine Basic Sciences, Many great memories of this fine fatty acid. Days spent with arachadonate, #prostglandin synthase (aka #cyclooxygenase), and an oxygen-sensitive electrode. Nothing quite like the smell or persistence of autoxidized 20:4. 😬

Transmembrane helix rotates, amazingly, almost 180 degrees within membrane domain of complex I – likely as part of catalytic cycle. These unusual conformational changes in complex I are resolved in supercomplex I+III2 #cryoEM structures in our paper here: bit.ly/2kq7fFX
