Next stop: student researchers from the department of biology at Freie Universität presenting their research on different types of beech trees (200+ varieties) from all over Europe & their ability to adapt to Berlin conditions (the key challenge at the moment is Berlin’s sandy soil).

Hello from Germany! PhD student Luiza Karpavicius is in Oldenburg, attending the Workshop "Economics of Low-Carbon Markets" and presenting her PhD project on carbon sequestration and transaction costs.

We're tackling complex environmental challenges, like climate change, through interdisciplinary collaboration. Last week, PhD students from all over the Nordics joined forces for our summer school on "Land use, carbon sequestration, and cost-effective climate policy."

Prof. Katarina Elofsson was the organizer, with expert lecturers given by Prof. Niclas Bentsen (University of Copenhagen Research ), Senior Specialist Arezoo T. (DTI), Prof. Uwe A. Schneider (Universität Hamburg) and PhD student Luiza Karpavicius (ESGO/AU). Supported by iClimate, DFF and Aarhus University
