The AU-UN Capacity Building and Experience Sharing Experts Group Meeting on Artificial Intelligence (AI), Conflict Analysis and Early Warning has been opened by Commissioner Amb. Bankole Adeoye in Addis Ababa. It brings together AU, UN, RECs, RMs, CSO and Youth representatives in 1/2

the context of the Inter-Regional Knowledge Exchange on Early Warning and Conflict Prevention Platform (I-RECKE) towards strengthening conflict analysis & early warning capacities, as well as integrating AI as a complementary tool to enhance the quality & accuracy of analysis.2/2

I recently took part in the Sudanese Youth Forum under the theme “A More Inclusive Political Process for Sudan,” convened by the African Union & IGAD Secretariat, with support from the #EU. The event took place in Kampala, Uganda. 1/3

The youth had the opportunity to voice their vision for a just, inclusive, & Sudanese-driven future. We explored how young people can play a leading role in shaping peace, driving humanitarian action, and ensuring justice and accountability. 2/3

The #YPS agenda presents an opportunity to foster meaningful youth participation in Sudan's peace and political processes and strengthening local-level ceasefire and de-escalation efforts, because peace isn’t just a goal, it’s a shared responsibility. 3/3
