#16DaysOfActivismAgainstGBV . A very real & frightening statistic is that most violence against women is perpetrated by current/former husbands/intimate partners. Globally over 80,000 women & girls were killed in 2020, 58% died at the hands of an intimate partner or family member.

#16DaysOfActivismAgainstGBV . Are you familiar with #FemaleGenitalMutilation which involves partial/total removal of the female external genitalia. There are still 31 countries where 90% of girls have undergone #FGM . Over 200 million women aged 15-19 have been butchered this way.

Students seemed to really appreciate that an effort was made to mark the day.
