A delegation of Shadow Cabinet Ministers, led by the Leader of the Opposition, Joel Ssenyonyi, has visited ATIAK SUGAR factory The team, that plays an oversight role was taken on a guided tour of the farm and later had an engagement with the proprietors of the investment

During the interactive session, the director of planning ATIAK SUGAR, Ahmed Mahmoud, briefed the team about the challenges that have affected the Sugar production pattern of the factory. He however assured the team that the project was on course to resume full production soon

Today, we hosted a team of officials from the Operation Wealth Creation Secretariat ATIAK SUGAR. Led by Amb. Lt. Gen. Philip Idro, the team’s visit was to fast track the progress of activities at the factory.

The team also had an interactive session with our Director for Agriculture, Mr. Seeruttun Bunty, who took them through a series of ongoing activities on the farm. Notable among them is plantation of the canes which is in the final phase as the rainy season comes to an end.

Over the weekend, a team from the EPRC, in collaboration with Ministry of Finance, MAAIF 🇺🇬 and Ministry of Trade Ug was hosted at ATIAK SUGAR. The team’s visit was to enable them gain a better understanding of the sugarcane growing dynamics and processes in the Acholi sub-region.

As part of our Corporate Social Responsibility, ATIAK SUGAR has given a cash donation of shs21.2 million to 85 VSLAs in Pacilo Parish in Atiak Sub county Amuru district. The VSLAs were formed with support from the district Woman MP, Akello Lucy

On Saturday, we hosted a team comprising students and lecturers of Gulu University and selected community members @Atiak_sugar factory. The team came for a study visit of the facility.

Today, the Permanent Secretary Ministry of Finance, Ramathan Ggoobi visited ATIAK SUGAR to assess the progress of the investment. The PS, who highlighted the benefits of the investment to the surrounding communities and to the country, strongly called for a focus on resuming production.
