The BBB's cost of $367B will be offset by $480B in revenues from tax enforcement (per Treasury), resulting in a net deficit REDUCTION of $113B. Yet Republicans won't vote for this bill, even though they voted for the 2017 tax cut that the CBO said would ADD $1.4T to the deficit.

Kevin McCarthy is having a humiliating meltdown because he doesn't want Americans to have lower drug prices, paid family leave, affordable child care and health care, universal pre-k, extended child tax credits.

Congrats to Kevin McCarthy on his record breaking floor speech to prevent Americans from getting affordable insulin and childcare.

This comes just one day after @GOPLeader announced his intent to reward white supremacist members of Congress who incite violence. Same party who just appointed 200+ judges, many unqualified, to federal courts- 70% of whom were white men. And that’s just scratching the surface.

When Senator Joe Manchin cites inflation as a reason he’s against BBB, let’s remember economists have pretty uniformly said that BBB will help reduce inflation. And when people make false excuses, it’s usually because they are hiding the true reason.

It is a lot better to walk alone than with a crowd going in the wrong direction.

One of the great crises facing our democracy is the power of the billionaire class over our political process. The needs of ordinary people are ignored as the rich and their Super PACs buy elections.

Anyone that still advocates for trickledown economics, has surrendered all credibility on the economy. Unfortunately, voter ignorance will keep giving people like this power.

If you feel like throwing in the towel, just remember: 96% of Democrats voted in favor of protecting voting rights versus 0% of Republicans. The answer isn’t to give up and let the GOP win, it’s to keep fighting. We’re almost there.
