For Christian’s engaged in culture wars note the words of scripture: “For what is it to me to judge those outside? Should you not judge those inside? But those outside God will judge.” (1 Cor 5:12-13b)

We need a political theology that moves from the right-left ideological paradigm to the up-down movement between the transcendence and immanence of the kingdom of God.

Jesus wasn’t accepted by the conservatives (Pharisees) or the liberals (Sadducees). He didn’t fit into the left-right paradigm. He operated in the above- below paradigm. The Kingdom of God doesn’t fit the agenda of conservatives or liberals.

We need a political theology that moves from the right-left ideological paradigm to the up-down movement between the transcendence and immanence of the kingdom of God.

We need to be more Christian. Not necessarily more conservative. They aren’t the same thing.
