The video of the cold blooded killing of Iryna Zarutska is heartbreaking and enraging. Not a single person stepped up to help her. If you’re in public and are witness to an act like that, step up and help someone when they need it most. Don’t just stand there and videotape.

There’s a group of people (on both sides) who have made politics and fighting whatever they’re opposed to into their whole personality. There’s so much more to life. Your family, friends, faith, community, country - all vastly more important than disagreements over politics.

I’ll fix it for you: There’s no excuse for political violence. There’s not supposed to be a “but” in that sentence. I hope Canadian Heritage reviews and cancels all grants to this organization justifying the cold blooded assassination of someone for their views.
