Severe weather remains a possibility this afternoon and evening, but it is not a slam dunk. Chances of storms are under 50%, but if a storm does develop in your area, it could grow severe very quickly. A deeper dive: weather.gov/media/oax/DssP…

Rain through the first half of Wednesday is possible. I can already feel the "I'll believe it when I see it" crowd getting restless.

You know to take shelter immediately if your area receives a Tornado Warning. But what makes a good shelter? Take the time now to figure out your options before storms arrive at your location this afternoon/evening.

6:30 to 8 PM Near Term Outlook - Strong to severe storms continue to move east. Large hail, gusty winds, very heavy rain, and perhaps a tornado or two mainly south of the pink dashed line will be the main hazards.

A line of severe storms will continue to move southeast through the area this evening. Damaging winds and heavy rainfall/localized flooding will be the main threats, but hail and even a brief tornado cannot be ruled out.

Regardless of political affiliation, Charlie Kirk deserves your prayers. You might not agree with him, but he’s a father and a husband. He has a family.

Charlie Kirk is a father and a husband. He is a human. I don’t care if you politically disagree with him nothing justifies this sick act.

Here's the latest weather model run showing the storm threat overnight Monday into early Tuesday (as of 1030pm, Sept 22). This StormCast is over the Slight (yellow) to Marginal (green) Risks for severe storms from the SPC, which matches up rather well.
