I am thrilled to have my first PI proposal accepted for #JWST Cycle 1! All made possible by the hard work of the COSMOS Survey team over the past 3 years building up the 2020 galaxy catalog. Looking forward to exploring the first galaxies with IFU spectroscopy! DAWN - The Cosmic Dawn Center

JWST Cycle 1 results are out today! JWST will spend 207 prime hours (the largest allocation approved!) observing the COSMOS-Webb program (PIs Jeyhan and @astrocaits). We can't wait for all of the amazing discoveries!

How do supermassive black holes interact with their accretion discs? Long-term variability can teach us a lot. Gorgeous #JWST spectrum of a z=9.76 galaxy from Guido Roberts-Borsani and team on the arXiv tonight!!! A vivid demonstration of how easily JW can confirm/refute the similarly luminous/more luminous Universe-breaking candidates at even higher redshifts!
