JWST just took a baby picture… of four exoplanets! 👀✨ Using a coronagraph, it blocked out the glare of their star and even detected carbon dioxide in their atmospheres! This could tell us how they formed and maybe even how our solar system compares! 🚀

Mercury has a tail, like a comet! ☄️ The Sun’s solar wind blasts sodium ions off its surface, creating a tail 24 million km long. Scientists predicted it in the ’80s, but it wasn’t discovered until 2001! 🤯 Space is full of surprises!

Saturn’s rings disappeared today! 😱 Well, from our perspective. They’re super thin, so when they align edge-on to Earth, they seem to vanish. But in reality, Saturn’s rings are disappearing, raining down on the planet at up to 2,870 kg per second!

I saw this shadow from my flight window and had no idea what it was. Turns out, it’s just a plane’s contrail shadow! Science wins again!

Right before bed, JWST dropped a huge find: aurorae on Neptune! 🌌✨ Not at the poles, but at mid-latitudes, thanks to Neptune’s 47-degree tilted magnetic field. Finally, the aurora puzzle is complete!

Will we see a star explode today? Maybe, maybe not. 🌟 T Coronae Borealis could go nova soon. Its pattern suggests it’s due, but predicting stellar eruptions is complicated.

This new JWST image is so wild, I get why some people think space is fake. 🤯 But it’s real! It's a perfect Einstein ring caused by a foreground galaxy warping the light of a spiral galaxy behind it. Amazing!

An interstellar tunnel was discovered? Not quite. Scientists found hot gas bubbles in the Milky Way, possibly linked by "interstellar tunnels." But these aren’t wormholes or warp-speed highways...

What is a supernova? 💥 It’s one of the biggest explosions in space, triggered when a massive star (8x the Sun’s mass) dies dramatically. But there’s a second way! If a white dwarf steals enough material from a companion star, it can also go supernova.

These stunt cars look slow, but physics says they only need to go 35 km/h (22 mph) to stay on the loop! 😲 It’s all about centripetal force keeping them on track!

Dark energy might be changing. 🤯 DESI’s latest data suggests the universe’s expansion isn’t accelerating as fast as we thought. But at 4.2 sigma, we need more data. Could dark energy be evolving? Or will new results prove it’s constant after all? 🌌

Did Earth once have a ring like Saturn? A 2024 study says that maybe 466 million years ago, Earth may have had a temporary ring of asteroid debris. ☄️ It formed when a massive asteroid crossed the Roche limit and was torn apart by gravity. A cosmic bling moment… but deadly.
