The Feast of the Holy Innocents is a day of solemn remembrance for the innocent children who lost their lives under King Herod’s decree (Matthew 2:16-18). Today, we are called to reflect on the truth that all lives are precious—from conception to natural death.

This special day honours Jesus, Mary, and Joseph as a model of love, faith, and unity for all families. The Holy Family teaches us the importance of trusting in God’s plan, supporting one another, and living in harmony, even amidst life’s challenges.

On this sacred day, we honour Mary’s unique role in salvation history as the Mother of Jesus, fully human and fully divine. Her “yes” to God’s will reminds us of the beauty of faith, humility, and trust in God’s plan. As we begin the new year, let us ask for Mary’s intercession.

Assumption Sisters from Italy, Belgium, Lithuania & England have gathered for the Provincial Chapter in Paris. It was a great joy to visit the re-opened Notre Dame de Paris. Prayers for the Sisters & the Province as we discern the calling of the Holy Spirit for the coming years!
