On November 4, 1989, ASRC’s shareholders voted to open enrollment to North Slope Iñupiaq descendants born after the ANCSA cutoff date of December 18, 1971. This June, ASRC shareholders again voted to ensure that our cultural values are passed down to future generations.

Tonight, the sun will set for the last time this year in Utqiaġvik, home to ASRC’s corporate headquarters and the northernmost community in the United States. Residents will not see the sun again until January 22, 2026. We wish everyone a warm winter from the top of the world!
