An ice storm ruining my baby shower & the chances to see loved ones who were going to travel for it just seems about right

Baby shower getting postponed so now my best friend won’t be able to come because she’s having a baby in the next few weeks. I know, not a big deal but I’m upset. You really only get one baby shower. :(

My baby shower is now taking place 13 days before my due date because of the stupid weather and we have so little ready for this baby because we were waiting for the shower. Idk what we’re going to do, I’m crashing out

35 weeks pregnant 😅 getting real

Baby’s crib and dresser and rug have been ordered. Most decor is already here just waiting to be placed once furniture is built. Waiting a week or 2 to start washing all his clothes so they don’t get stale. I want to prepare but there’s just not much to do yet. 35 weeks

It’s finally becoming real that in ~6 weeks I’ll be off work for 4 months and have a new baby to cuddle and take for walks in a stroller and nurse and take on errands with me 🥹 and he’ll be a mini version of my husband I’m convinced, and I’m totally ok with that

My heart also breaks for this child. How horrible it must have been to watch his father abandon him, his mother refuse to let him inside, and to be cared for by complete strangers.

Thought about going to see Hamnet, but my husband wisely advised that I am due to have our first child, a son, in about 5 weeks so that may be a terrible idea for my general psyche. He’s probably right
