Anabel took part in our teaching seminars last semester Chair of Science, Technology and Gender Studies with Maria Rentetzi and me, and wrote up a very nice report for the FAU Erlangen-Nbg newsletter on the benefits of inter-disciplinary teaching initiatives! Have a read:

My colleagues Sabine Lang & Dominik Kremer have looked at how digital maps and methods in #DH can help us understand perceptions of place, violence and safety.

Thrilled to have been part of #HSS2024 in Mérida! Our panel, led by Susan Lindee, explored nuclear history’s hidden layers—from unseen power to invisible radiation impacts. Huge thanks to Kapil Patil, @cooperaustinr, and Mary X. Mitchell for an inspiring discussion! ERC project "Living with Radiation" (HRP-IAEA)

Over the last two days, the Humboldt-Stiftung visited our city and FAU Erlangen-Nbg. As a chair, we had the great opportunity to welcome them, learn about their research, and enjoy wonderful interactions with all of them.

In the morning, during the first session, we had the pleasure of listening to five research talks by Humboldt-Stiftung fellows. FAU Erlangen-Nbg

In the second session, we were honored to introduce ourselves to our visitors as a chair through a short video, followed by several talks from our doctors and researchers, showcasing our multidisciplinary research areas and projects.
